Hi! I’m Eliza.
I’m an illustrator in Chicago who loves to help people celebrate what’s important to them. Nostalgia plays a huge role in my art--I yearn to reach back to childhood, to a simpler time of joy, curiosity, imagination, and love. Before we became divided by politics and cynicism, the simple joys of childhood is the place where we can connect.
I offer gentle souls a peek into a quirky world inhabited by fashionably dressed animals.
I bring lightheartedness, joy and connection to help people escape the drama and divisiveness of today by remembering the simple joys of the past.
Proof I’m legit:
I earned my MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I continue to teach Visual Communications & Design.
As a dedicated animal advocate, I love working with organizations such as PAWS Chicago, Grassroots Animal Rescue, Canine Companions for Independence, and HeARTs Speak to help animals in need find their forever homes. Be sure to check out my Project Adopt Me! series, where I happily donate $1 of every card purchase to local Chicago shelters.
Been dressing pets since 1982. It’s easier to paint them on instead.
